National building codes are a country wide standard for all construction to comply with structure and safety codes. These codes are set in place to prevent hazardous situations due to poor and/or deteriorated construction. Safety is a main concern when coming to weight bearing structures, electrical conditions that can cause a fire hazard and proper egress to exit a home quickly in a time of emergency usually through a complying door or egress window.
